Co-founder, Advisor

Kevin Madrigal (Co-founder, Advisor) is a food justice advocate that is reimagining health with ancestral Mexican cooking. He studied public health through the lens of food at Stanford with a B.A. in Human Biology. He has staged at Michelin-starred Californios and Chez Panisse and developed plant-based menus for Schwab Executive Catering Services. Kevin believes that cooking is one of the most political and meaningful traditions we practice today, and that we all deserve the right to decide how, what, and why we eat.

Kevin learned to cook the flavors of Guadalajara, Jalisco from his mother and abuela (both fans of Farming Hope dinners) in his two hometowns: South San Francisco and Zapopan. Kevin was Farming Hope’s very first chef, and continues to serve as a trusted advisor on Farming Hope’s programming and strategic vision.
